PAPUA - The Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, operating under the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Operational Command HABEMA, are setting an exemplary standard in fostering community engagement while securing Indonesia’s border with Papua New Guinea. In Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua Province, their efforts are making waves, particularly through a meaningful Social Communication (Komsos) activity held on Monday, December 2, 2024.
Led by First Lieutenant Rahman, the Faankahrio Post collaborated with local community figures from Pitor Village in Aifat Timur Tengah District. Commander of the 501 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Yakhya Wisnu Arianto, emphasized the importance of prioritizing the community’s basic needs. "Understanding the community’s living conditions and responding proactively is crucial to our mission, " he remarked. Acting on this directive, the Faankahrio Post team engaged with local leaders to build trust, enhance cooperation, and align efforts for the district’s ongoing development initiatives.
The discussions also included preparations for the secure conduct of simultaneous Regional Head Elections in Aifat Timur Tengah. Community leader Matius Fatemyo expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the villagers, saying, "Thank you, Commander 501. We are happy that the TNI is helping the Papuan people. God bless."

"The efforts of the 501 Task Forces exemplify TNI's dedication to fostering inclusive partnerships to propel Papua’s development. Such initiatives ignite hope and confidence in the region’s future, " he stated.
The success of the Komsos activity highlights TNI's commitment to professionalism and adaptability, fostering not just security but also solidarity and progress.
